Adult Create
WHAT: An open studio style art workshop where adults get to be playful and explore art making in a fun, curious and exploratory way. Basics will be offered but participants will be encouraged to follow their own curiosity and play with the materials available. For sure you can expect a table dedicated to clay and another to paint but there will be more surprises to explore too!
WHY: Well, to be direct, a lot of adults are burnt out. Creativity matters when it comes to supporting our overall health and wellbeing. Engaging with the arts can have a profound impact on our brain and body. Also, It’s easy to be play with art when we are kids and not hang on the outcome of what we make. In adulthood, if we sit down to create, we often feel it needs to also be productive. Adult Create challenges that, and seeks to offer an experience where you can get in touch with your creative side (yes, it’s in everyone) and reap the benefits of the art process through play.
HOW: The workshop will have 3-4 art stations set up and could include anything from clay to paint, shrinky dinks to mixed media collage. Wear clothes you dont mind getting messy.
All supplies provided including water, tea and snacks.
